Description: You may find that when trying to login to the front-end of your website, using internet explorer, it appears as though you have not logged in - even though the back end administrator shows you as being logged in. In some cases, you might find that Firefox allows you to log in ok.
Possible Cause(s): Internet Explorer can get confused when handling cookies related to TheFranciscan.ORG logins. Usually, this does not present a problem for most users, only when users have live versions and local versions of the website, than this problem occurs. This is what you call cookie-chaos. Try deleting your cookies and make sure your browser remember cookies.
Also, if you are trying to log in behind a firewall or through a proxy connection, this can cause TheFranciscan.ORG to start a new session seemingly at random, and therefore it 'forget' that you were logged in. It doesn't remember the cookies.
What to do?: Inconvenient though it may be, clearing your cookies (tools->internet options->delete cookies) will usually resolve this if the problem is restricted to internet explorer.
Try login in from a computer which is not behing a firewall or proxy. Most office networks are designed with firewall and goes through a proxy.
