Prof. Dr. Michael Ong Ah Hup is a Franciscan of 1969, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon / ImplantologistB.D.S. (Singapore), MSc ( London, UK) Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Cert. IAOMS Fellow of the International Congress of Oral ImplantologistsFellow of the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial SurgeonsF.I.C.D., F.A.D.I., F.I.C.C.D.E.

Dr Michael Ong Ah Hup is a Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) at theUniversity of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Presently, he is the Founder President of Malaysian Oral Implant Association. He is in the Editorial Board of the Asian Journal of OMS and the Board of Directors of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), Asia-Pacific Section.

He is also the International Councilor of OMS. He was the President of Malaysian Association of Oral and MaxillofacialSurgery and Editor and Founder of the Malaysian Journal of OMS. He has presented about 100 scientific papers and published more than sixty articles including dental implantology. Internationally, he has given lectures as guestspeakers to conferences of various countriessuch as Indonesia, Singapore and Korea besides National Conferences of Associations in Scienceand Technology, Dental and Medical. His research interests include implants, pain, wound healing, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery,distraction osteogenesis, trauma and tumours.
